  • We were searching for a seafood restaurant in the area and we were lucky to find this place. From the moment we entered, we were welcomed by a friendly, but professional and attentive staff. They answered all our questions, explained the different meals on the menu and made valuable suggestions. The grilled squid and the catch of the day fish were really tasty and good value for money. The home-made passion fruit mousse and the flamed pineapple we had as dessert were exquisite. We also liked the stylish decor, which gives the place its character. The restaurant has its own parking spaces for visitors, so arriving by car isn't a problem. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner here and were leaving really satisfied.

  • The food was absolutely delicious and the service was very good! Special mention to the littlenecks, they were DIVINE. We also had the garlic bread, fish soup and the big mixed fish plate for 2 people, that it could have feed easily 3! Everything at a fair price. We will come back

  • Very local restaurant, nevertheless the waiters speak English and other languages. Very welcoming service. Simple but tasty food. The fish we had was delicious and the portions are enormous.

  • Had a really nice time and food here. We ordered a black sausage, a tuna steak and squids in wine sauce. The tuna was good and huge really enjoyed it. The squids were ok, nothing special, the sauce could be better. The black sausage is my favourite everywhere, the portion was big enough as well. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

  • The owner informed us that all fish is caught locally, by Azorean fishermen, and the potatoes and the yam come straight from the island. This was very important for me personally, but most importantly for the flavours of the food. They didn’t want to serve us tuna steak because it’s not the right season for tuna and they only wanted to serve fresh food, which we appreciated. We had an enriching conversation with the couple that owns the restaurant and the two waiters who were so kind and enticingly skilled at their job. The girl that served us explained every detail of the ‘catch of the day’, the different fishes that are laid out, so I highly recommend to choose this option on the menu. She also advised cooking methods etc, everything in such a way that we actually learned a lot about fish anatomy and cuisine. The lapas were also delicious. Going to this restaurant was a highlight of our trip.

  • Great Food! Don’t be fooled by the outside of this restaurant - both food and the service were great! We had a grilled fish and fried octopus and both dishes were just spectacular. The owner was very friendly and engaging - I really enjoyed it and recommend if you are looking for great seafood dishes on Sao Miguel.

  • Best place to eat on the island !!! The owner and the staff are amazing. Nice and friendly and the food is excellent. I am a fan of polvo (octopus) but I have never eaten it cooked this way before. Thanks once again guys and see you next time PS: I still don’t know if it’s a joke or not that “rabo de piexe” means “fish’s ass”
